Joaquin Baldwin

I was born in Paraguay. At age 19, I moved to the USA to study at the Columbus College of Art & Design, where I received my BFA. Then I moved to California where I got an MFA at the UCLA Animation Workshop.

While at UCLA I created Sebastian's Voodoo, The Windmill Farmer and Papiroflexia: animated shorts which won over 100 awards and honors at festivals and competitions such as Cannes, Student Academy Awards, Student Emmys, USA Film Festival, and many others. I was nominated for an Annie Award in 2008, where my tiny student short was competing against 4 films: from Pixar, Disney, Plympton and Aardman.

I now live in Los Angeles, with two cats and one husband, and work at the Walt Disney Animation Studios as a CG layout artist for feature animation. I've worked in films such as Zootopia, Wreck-It Ralph, Big Hero 6, Feast, Frozen and Moana.
