PIVAUT IN A FEW WORDS
The history of École Pivaut is define by long lasting. Founded in 1985, the school take shape in the french city of Nantes. It is the first “Nantaise” private art school with a professional vocation based on drawing and fundamentals. At the beginning the institution offers three programs: Advertising, Industrial Design and Painted Decoration. In the 1990s, the success of these formations is such that the number of students has been multiply by six.
To respond to this important developement, preparatory classes, unprecedented in France then, are set up by École Pivaut in Nantes and Rennes. In the 2000s, the art school reach a new level, two majors poles are at the heart of this expansion: Applied Arts and Narrative Drawing (Visual Storytelling). Soon after the list of art programs is enhance again with new ones like: Illustration, 2D Animated Feature and Graphic Novel. More recently, 3D Animation and Concept Art complete our academic curriculum.
The extensive experience gained over years has allowed the school to developed an approach of teaching based on strong academic and technical qualities. These are recognized by the whole professional field to which its students are heading. These formations required self discipline and creativity, organization and curiosity, but above all, passion and personal commitment.
In order to fulfil the professional’s highest standards, all of our programs, classes contents and technical equipments are frequently updated. These are at the heart of our school’s academic strategy, which provide our student’s with optimal conditions of employment at the end of their artistic journey at Pivaut.
In our vision of perpetual dynamic innovation we are opening up internationally with the founding of Campus Pivaut in Montréal. In the last decade this french canadian city has become a world leader in Video Game, FX Live Action and
Our new private campus offers two specilized programs: Animated Feature and Concept Art. Both are officially recognized under the norms of the Ministère de l’Éducation et Enseignement supérieur du Québec as well as their degrees.
