Mother's day was apparently yesterday, so I thought I will skip to the happy ending, before I go back to capture these little dudes' friendship. Orange cats are very adventurous and yet so loving, so I definitely want it to be an orange cat family... which does not resolve the issue in the previous shot. I have added some highlights though; I want to push more the colors and the lights.

This is an extention to the story below. I so need to do sketches and plans of this tower. Some architecture practice never hurt anyone hehe.

A quick sketch today, reminding us that the size of your heart does not depend on how big you are or what you have.

A time-lapse of the process is available on my instagram.

Hi, thanks so much for your reply. My scope is to create different moods and weather conditions of the same scene.... technically different light scenarios. Then I will proceed with a 24h day and night loop. Of course I will make this also for different projects and different scenes/game levels. I have two projects with internal lighting in my portfolio for now, I also need to create a few with external lighting. My goal is to learn new methods, become very familiar and efficient with Unreal Engine and the lighting process overall. And get job ready, while creating my lighting portfolio. My goal is Ubisoft, Sofia. I want to work there SO much. And once I am in I will work even harder to keep their awesome level of game art and why not help elevate it even more. I am also interested in concept art, a lot, but I know my chances to get in as a concept artist are lower. So I am doing everything I can to better my chances. When people read this will probably think I am nuts. :D

My latest UE5 project, still in progress. These are the first 2 weather conditions and moods of this project. Still to come, among others, storm and rain, sunset/sunrise. I love creating stories and mood through color and light. I feel so blessed, that I switched to art for game and animation. I am so happy.

This is a small vis dev project I did for myself a while back. It is about a super smart cat who loves plants, but, man, he cannot keep them alive to save his life. Sadly, sometimes what you love, does not love you back and no matter what you do, you cannot seem to get it right. It was super fun to compose this one and come up with the tiny details of his life. And, if you have a cat but no space for a(nother) scratch post, here is also a "how to". Fun fact: the cat's bed side table is a modified version of the scratch post at my mom's place.

You are right, one of the most interesting topics is the routine. There is always something to be learned from other artist's insides. As I am freelancing, my work schedule is very open and my tasks are done depending on the urgency during the day. The meetings with myself are a must, no matter if I do them once a week or daily: when to do what and approximately how long it will take me. In this I include lunch time, sports and even tasks which are not related to work, but I shouldn't forget to do them (like order cat food or contact someone). I write it all down. Sometimes I do this for a few days in a row, sometimes just for one day.  And then I get to it, crossing what I have done or adjusting if something else comes up unexpectedly. I do not get to do daily practices, but sometimes I schedules entire days just for learning and practicing. One thing I have as an iron rule is not to work/practice on weekends. Burnout is a real thing and it is viscous. This is my way to avoid it.
